Most of Ysayle's personal conversations in the last few years have been about things other than her personal life, let alone any potential romantic entanglements she might have. It's an odd change of pace -- but she can see that Aymeric is at least trying. What a strange, odd couple they will make.
She sets aside her fork for now, eyes dropping from his face to focus on her plate in a moment of contemplation.
"Nay, Ser Aymeric, though the thought is kind. I have much to atone for -- sins done in the name of a righteous cause are still sins, and I was blind to the full truth of history." A shake of her head, and her eyes flick up to meet his once more. "Peace for Ishgard is enough for me. I would not dare to ask for more."
So long as she can help achieve that, then her own desires are secondary. Ysayle does not think it an unkind fate, nor does she say it in a way that is self-deprecating, just as a matter of fact.
"In that desire I believe we are very much aligned. I would not have agreed to this if I thought otherwise."
